This recipe will bring back childhood memories! I loved Rice Bubble slice when I was growing up so I created a healthy alternative that tastes just as good. This recipe is free from refined sugar, gluten, dairy and nuts. I hope you love it as much as we do! x

I’m sure most of you remember the traditional Rice Bubble slice from when you were growing up…..?  I definitely do, especially at birthday parties. We all loved it when we were kids.  So I set out to create a healthy alternative that tasted just as good so the kids could enjoy it!  The traditional slice was made up of sugar, butter, honey and rice bubbles so I have substituted these and opted for whole food ingredients that result in a slice that kids both big and small will love.  The perfect wee snack.

This slice is another super simple recipe.  The kids will love helping to prepare it, its a great lunch box snack and its also super tasty – we all enjoy it in our household. Read More

Being Gluten Free is not the end of the world….

Being Gluten Free is not the end of the world….

This week is Coeliac Awareness Week so I wanted to share a post about my experience with Coeliac disease and to share a bit more information around this disease in terms of what it is, tips and my favourite gluten free foods and cafes.  I hope you find it helpful.

I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease in my mid 20s and I did think my life was over – that was after the doctor had to explain to me exactly what Coeliac disease was and then what gluten was. Once I got my head around this, I just thought, no more of my favourite foods. But on the plus side, would changing my diet really make me feel better….? Read More

By popular demand, here are my baby friendly mini muffins – the perfect finger food for wee ones starting on solids.  Nice and soft and packed full of nutritious ingredients, Freddie has been loving these (as has his big sister and I may have snacked on one or two).

A great first finger food for babies – they are sugar free, sweetened only with apple, banana and carrot which means they are packed full of fruit and veggies.  Making these a great alternative to your usual store brought muffins which are often high in sugar, and empty calories. Read More

This is my “go to” favourite treat that I make on a fairly regular basis.  Its another super simple healthy recipe and definitely satisfies those sweet / chocolate cravings.  Its something I always freeze and therefore have on hand for when those 3pm pangs hit.

This popular treat that my whole family enjoys is free from gluten, dairy and refined sugar so a great allergy friendly treat.  The slice requires no baking and barely any preparation as it’s predominantly made in a blender but you do have to take into consideration the chilling time. The waiting is the most difficult thing about this recipe as you just want to dig in!! Read More
